The free application myCollections is here to help you manage your multimedia collection. The application will ensure you do not lose a book because you lend it to someone, that you never forget what a movie is all about, that you can easily locate that album you want to listen to, and more.

You do not have to go through an installation process to get started with myCollections. All you have to do is download an archive (a 5.6Mb archive to be more precise), extract its contents, then run the myCollections.exe file.

By default, the SugarBrown color scheme is selected for the interface. If you don’t particularly like this color scheme, you can pick another one. Just click on the Skin button and pick one of the many colors available. Since you haven’t added anything yet, the main part of myCollections’ interface doesn't show anything. You will see buttons for Apps, Books, Games, Movie, Music, NDS, Series and XXX in the left hand side, but nothing in the middle.

Adding info on a movie, let’s say the first movie in the Underworld series, is a fairly straightforward matter. From the traditional File Menu in the upper left hand corner, click on Actions -> Add -> Add Movie. You can then manually enter info on the movie, or you can let myCollections grab it automatically from the web. Once you type in the movie’s name, the Web Update button becomes clickable. Click it and myCollections will grab info on the movie and cast from the web.

When you’re done, you will notice that an Underworld entry is displayed on myCollections’ interface. Place the mouse over the Details bar in the right hand corner and a pop-up menu will display info on the movie. Double click the movie to edit the info previously entered, right click on it to access a few more options.

Adding apps, books, games, music, NDS, series, and adult movies to the collection is an equally easy process. It will not take long to add all your multimedia content to the collection. And once you have everything, you can export the collection as HTML, PDF, CSV or XML.

You won’t have to part with your money to enjoy the functionality myCollections has to offer. But if you do want to part with your money, consider making a donation to support the development of the application.

Easily add and easily manage your multimedia collection with the free application myCollections.

Pros

myCollections does not have to be installed. There are multiple color schemes to choose from. myCollections grabs info on multimedia content from the web. myCollections is free. Filter and customize the view mode. Keep track of loans. The application supports multiple languages. Support for adult content is included.

Cons

The default skin/color scheme isn’t very appealing.
